Designed and installed a grid-tied solar system with battery backup for a Kelowna homeowner looking to cut their FortisBC bill and stay powered through outages. The setup pairs a 9.6 kW rooftop array with a Pytes V5 battery backup, configured to charge from solar during the day and seamlessly switch to battery if the grid goes down. Critical loads — fridge, internet, lighting, well pump — stay running without interruption. System integrates cleanly with the existing electrical panel and is monitored via app so the owner can track production and consumption in real time.
